Traffic Break models a real California Highway Patrol procedure: get in front of freeway traffic, weave across lanes, and pace the column down to a controlled speed so the road can be cleared safely. Most LSPDFR scripts approximate this with global speed limits or scripted halts. This one mirrors the actual training.
Vehicles in front of and behind your unit are scanned every 200 ms within a 200 m radius. Heading comparison plus a dot product against your unit's direction picks out the cars actually on your carriageway, so opposite-direction traffic stays normal. Selected vehicles match your speed minus 1 mph, light their hazards, and refuse to pass within 18 meters of your bumper.
Cars release automatically when conditions change: too far behind, heading misaligned, stalled too long, or you accelerate out. No baked-in timer, just realistic state.
